Nurtured Nests – Non-Refundable Deposit Policy
At Nurtured Nests, we take pride in providing healthy, well-cared-for birds. To secure your chosen bird, we require a non-refundable deposit. This ensures fairness for all customers and helps us cover the time and care invested into reserving your bird/birds.
1. Deposit Requirement
- A deposit is required to hold/reserve any bird/s.
- The amount of the deposit will be confirmed at the time of reservation.
2. Non-Refundable Nature
- All deposits are strictly non-refundable.
- If you change your mind, fail to complete the purchase, or cannot take the bird for any reason, the deposit will not be returned.
3. Balance Payment
- The remaining balance is due on or before the agreed collection date.
- Failure to pay the balance within the agreed timeframe will result in forfeiture of both the deposit and the reserved bird.
4. Collection Commitment
- By placing a deposit, you commit to collecting your bird/s on the agreed date.
- If you do not collect your bird on time, we may place it back up for adoption, and your deposit will be forfeited.
Live Birds
Due to the sensitive nature of live animals, we generally do not offer refunds or exchanges for live birds once they have left our premises. We take great care to ensure the health and well-being of all our birds before they go to their new homes.
However, we understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise. If your bird exhibits signs of illness within 48 hours of purchase, please contact us immediately. We require:
- Veterinary documentation: A statement from a qualified avian veterinarian confirming the illness and its diagnosis within the 48-hour period.
- Prompt notification: You must notify us as soon as possible after noticing any issues.
Upon review of the veterinary documentation, we will assess the situation on a case-by-case basis. This may result in:
- A store credit for the value of the bird.
- An exchange for another bird of equal value, if available.
- In rare circumstances, a partial refund may be considered.
We are not responsible for illnesses or injuries that occur after the 48-hour period or that are due to improper care, environment, or accidents in your home.
Bird Supplies & Accessories
You may return most unused and unopened bird supplies and accessories within 14 days of purchase for a full refund or exchange. To be eligible for a return:
- The item must be in its original packaging.
- The item must be in resalable condition, free from any damage or signs of use.
- You must provide the original receipt or proof of purchase.
We cannot accept returns on:
- Used or opened food, treats, or supplements.
- Used cages, toys, or perches due to hygiene reasons.
- Items that have been damaged after purchase.
