DNA Sexing determines the gender of your bird.

PBDF Testing
Psittacine Beak Feather Disease (PBFD) causes fatal infections in young birds,primarily. Older birds can overcome the disease with few long-lasting effects. These surviving birds will become carriers that will shed the disease at a later date.

The virus that causes PBFD can also affect the liver, brain, and immune system of the affected bird causing reduced resistance to infections.

PBFD diagnosis is done by analysing the skin of feather and shaft, or PCR testing of blood and feather samples. Also, testing for PBFD-specific can reveal important information about a possible infection.

APV Testing
The Avian Polyoma Virus is one of the most significant viral pathogens in parrots that causes substantial economic losses for aviculturists. Signs and symptoms of APV are very similar to and often confused with PBFD. With a high mortality rate, acute APV causes sudden death in chicks younger than 8-12 weeks and can kill chicks in the breeding season. With very little options available for treatment, prevention is the only method to protect the aviary from Avian Polyoma Virus.
