Planning holidays or time away can be difficult when you have a companion parrot. Over the years, we’ve often heard the question, “How do I find someone I can trust to look after my babies?”

It’s a concern we completely understand. With so many animals of our own, taking a break can feel almost impossible when you’re unsure whether they’ll be properly cared for while you’re away. We’ve also realised that many of our customers feel increasingly hesitant to leave their birds with inexperienced family members or place them in boarding facilities run by strangers.

That's when we decided to extend our support to boarding of the babies we've raised and sold to members of our community. It felt like a natural next step to ensure their birds have somewhere safe and reliable to come when their owners need to go away; somewhere where the people, cages and environment are already familiar to them. 

As we do not consider ourselves a boarding facility, our service is only offered to existing clients ONLY

Rates - single​

• $10/day 
• $50/week per full week

Rates - PAIR

• $12/day
• $60/week per full week
• Maximum two birds per cage, and only if they are normally housed together at home

WHAT YOU BRING

• Bird in their carry cage
• Their regular pellets / pellet mix 
• Any particular toys or treats that may make them more comfortable
• Vet paperwork for health check (not compulsory, but strongly encouraged if at all possible)

WHAT'S INCLUDED

• Cage (unless you'd prefer to bring their cage, depending on size)
• Our cage size: 75 x 50 x 58 cm 
• Fresh veggie chop and sprouts daily ​​
• Daily/every other day cage cleaning
• ​Out of the cage and play stand time with shreddable toys
• Plenty of cuddles and stratches
• Interaction with other birds if possible
• Administration of medication (if needed)
• Regular updates and photos/videos 

TERMS & CONDITIONS

• Cash or bank transfer on or before the day of pick up, or upfront if preferred
• Your bird/s must be in good health before coming to stay, to prevent any transmission of disease and illness
• Veterinary health check is not necessarily required, but strongly encouraged for the safety of our flock
• Rates are calculated per day, inclusive, regardless of drop off time
• If your bird/s start to show any signs of illness, they will be immediately separated from other birds and you will be contacted. Lodging your bird/s with us gives us permission to seek emergency veterinary care at your expense if deemed necessary, even if we can't get a hold of you.
• Bookings are subject to our availability. We cannot guarantee the dates you need will be available, but we will try to accommodate as best we can.
